From UCSB To The Bigs

This past weekend UCSB held its alumni weekend and for three former Gauchos, the road to the major leagues began at UCSB.

Texas Rangers infielder Michael Young, St. Louis Cardinals infielder Skip Schumaker and Cleveland Indians outfielder Ryan Spilborghs were all on hand for a weekend fundraiser to revamp an aging Ceasar Uyesaka Stadium on the campus of UCSB. All three players say UCSB was an integral part in development as men and as baseball players and are taking advantage of a chance to give back.
