Cougars Top Chargers In Channel League Showdown

The Ventura girls basketball team remains perfect in Channel League play, as the Cougars held off Dos Pueblos Monday night, beating the Chargers 50-43.

Dos Pueblos rallied late in the second quarter to take a lead into the locker room at halftime, however Ventura built a lead in the third quarter and didn't look back and in the process Ventura improved to 6-0 in league play.

For the Chargers Kristen Gowdy led the team with 16 points, while Chiara DiMarco added 11. With the loss Dos Pueblos falls to 3-3 in league with two games remaining.
