In a foggy opening night at Larrabee Stadium, Ventura took it to cross-town foe Pacifica, beating the Tritons 40-10.

The Cougars were led by senior quarterback and third-year starter Keihan Gibbs who threw four touchdown passes including one for 50 yards. Connor Armstrong was also tough on the ground, gaining 124 yards and scoring a touchdown.

Ventura will next host Agoura, while Pacifica will travel to Ojai to play Nordhoff.
