It may be less than 10 days into 2012 but the Gauchos are feeling good in the new year. They won at Cal Poly on a last second Orlando Johnson 3-pointer that bounced on the rim several times before dropping in on January 2nd. Then a few days later, they whipped Cal State Fullerton but they feared that they lost senior Jaime Serna for the season with a possible fracture in his right hand. However the injury turned out to be just a bruise and a sprain and Serna may play this week at UC Riverside on Thursday.
