Last second shot rims out as San Marcos' historic boys basketball season ends at Cajon

Royals come up just short at Cajon in State Playoffs

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Down by two points in the closing seconds, a closely guarded Stef Korfas passed it to David Frohling and his baseline three-pointer went in and out as the buzzer sounded and San Marcos lost a heartbreaker 65-63 at Cajon.

The Royals season ends at the CIF State SoCal Regional Division II quarterfinal game.

San Marcos star center Jackson Stormo fouled out in the fourth quarter after a great battle all game long with Cajon's football star Jeremiah Martin.

San Marcos had their 17-game winning streak snapped as they end the season 27-7.

The Royals won the program's first-ever CIF-Southern Section title in boys basketball and also captured the team's first State Playoff game win.
