VENTURA, Calif. - On Saturday, St. Bonaventure's quarterback Ricky Town announced on Twitter that he has chosen to decommit to Alabama.
The junior is the No. 2-ranked pocket passer and No. 22-ranked player overall in the ESPN Junior 300. He had announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide back in August before the high school football season kicked off.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder mentioned that he initially chose Alabama because of offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, who recently accepted a job at Michigan.
It's been reported by ESPN that Town took an unofficial visit to USC on Saturday, and the Trojans have made him a priority for their 2015 class. Many believe that the Trojans are now the frontrunner for his services.
