UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Will the last returning UCSB women's basketball player please turn out the lights.
The Gauchos now have four players transferring out of the program in addition to the four seniors that are now out of eligibility so next year's roster will be almost completely brand new.
Last week Big West All-Freshman and All-Honorable mention Sarah Bates announced on twitter that she was leaving UCSB which is a big loss as she was UCSB's second-leading scorer this past season.
Now Sarah Porter, Akilah Jennings and Nina Radford are also leaving UCSB.
Porter, who is a redshirt junior, is expected to graduate UCSB in June and still has one year left of eligibility to play as a graduate transfer.
Jennings is a junior who played in 29 games this past season while Radford is a freshman who saw action in 20 games averaging just over ten minutes per game.
In addition to these transfers, the Gauchos lose their leading scorer Drew Edelman, point guard Drea Toler, Makala Roper and Chaya Durr who were all seniors.
Bonnie Henrickson's Gauchos finished a disappointing 12-17 this past season.
