CIF champion Royals will host State Playoff game on Wednesday

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The historic boys basketball season at San Marcos High School continues on Wednesday as the Royals host Granada Hills Charter in a first round game of the CIF State Boys Basketball Championships in division 2.

The Royals are seeded sixth in this tournament after winning the school's first-ever CIF-Southern Section title over the weekend against Riverside-Poly 67-47.

San Marcos has been perfect here in 2018 winning all sixteen of their games. The Royals last lost on December 30, 2017.

San Marcos is 26-6 on the season.

The Buena Bulldogs will play at St. Anthony in division 3.

St Bonaventure hosts King/Drew in division 4, San Luis Obispo is home to Bakersfield Christian while Lompoc is at Viewpark.

In the girls State Playoffs, Righetti is seeded ninth and will play at Glendora in division 2.

Cabrillo hosts Golden Valley in division 3, Foothill Tech is home to Selma in division 4.

In division 5 Hueneme hosts Anaheim while Santa Clara is at Porterville.

All games are scheduled for Wednesday night.
