SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - It's been a long, successful season for the Bishop Diego High School football team and it ends with their CIF-State Championship Bowl Game Division 3-AA matchup against Shasta High School of Redding.

Game time is Saturday, December 16 at 6pm at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

The Cardinals began the season with a hard-fought 9-0 victory over Desert Pines of Las Vegas back on August 25.

Bishop Diego won their first nine games before losing in double-overtime at home to Grace Brethren 31-24. The Lancers have also advanced all the way to a State Bowl Game as they play Saint Francis for the Division 2-A title.

The Cardinals are 14-1 and ranked No. 34 in California by Maxpreps.com.

This will be the final high school game for 21 seniors on Bishop Diego.
