Providence Hall advances to semifinals in girls basketball

Hedges & Johnson combine for 41 points in Lions win

MONTECITO, Calif. -

Sydney Hedges scored 21 points and Olivia Johnson added 20 as Providence Hall defeated Joshua Springs 65-49 in a CIF Division 6 quarterfinal game. The Lions will play at Hesperia Christian on Saturday in the semifinals.

The Lions led by 19 at the half but Joshua Springs cut the deficit to six early in the fourth quarter. But after sitting out the entire third quarter, Hedges restored order by scoring several buckets as Providence Hall built their lead back-up and cruised to victory.
