EL DORADO, Calif. -

Behind a balanced attack, San Marcos is off to the quarterfinals in the CIF 3-AA boys basketball playoffs. The Royals had five players score at least seven points in their 49-42 road victory at El Dorado in Orange County.

Kevin Hempy scored 11 points, Bryce Ridenour tallied 10, Ian Douglas added nine while Jake Wheelock and Uriel Hurtado each contributed seven points.

San Marcos hits the road again as they play at third-seeded Corona Del Mar on Tuesday.
