The Gauchos were surprised to get an invite to the WNIT. No one was shocked to see UCSB bow out in the first round at San Diego State. Santa Barbara trailed by twenty points at halftime and wound up losing 69-46 to the Aztecs.

Senior Sweets Underwood scored a team-high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds for UCSB in her last collegiate game. Santa Barbara ends the year at 16-17. San Diego State improves to 27-6 on the year and was led by Courtney Clements game-high 31 points.
