Big crowds showed up in downtown Santa Barbara to watch Germany take on Argentina in the final World Cup match.

The Santa Barbara Brewing Company was so packed, police issued the owner a citation.

Police tell NewsChannel 3, that officers showed up and starting counting heads.

The capacity for the Brewing Company is set at 292 for the front and back of the business.

Police counted 245 in the front alone and stopped counting after about 200 in the back.  They estimate about 645 people were inside the Brewing Company during the game.

The owner of the Brewing Company was on site when police arrived and issued him a ticket for violating California Fire Code 107.6, a misdemeanor.

Police say the owner and all of the employees were very cooperative and fans inside were under control.
