VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - A woman is in jail facing felony hit and run charges.
Police say it happened in Ventura County on Valentine Road in front of Tommy's Hamburgers. Tanisha Washington, 38, of Ventura is accused of driving recklessly and colliding with another car, she is then accused of fleeing the scene, according to police.
The three passengers in the vehicle Washington hit suffered injuries from critical to moderate. One of the passengers had to be extricated from the vehicle with life-saving equipment.
Officers eventually located the suspect, Washington, at her home. A witness also said a 3-year-old child was in the suspect's vehicle at the time of the crash. That child was located uninjured.
