Incumbent second district supervisor Janet Wolf thanked supporters she called the "Wolf Pack" after election returns showed her in the lead early Tuesday night.
By 11 p.m., Wolf supporters gathered at the Boathouse restaurant at Hendry's Beach knew their candidate was the winner.
Challenger Roger Aceves thanked his volunteers at Harry's Plaza Cafe. The former Goleta mayor said he ran to give his city better representation.
The second district race was the only contested race on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors.
Wolf said she would get back to work on the county budget first thing in the morning.
