SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A 10-acre fire burning in Santa Maria Tuesday afternoon is now 80 percent contained.
The fire now being called the "Lease Fire," broke out near Palmer and Cat Canyon Roads at 12:09 p.m.
Firefighters have determined that the fire was driven by the wind. Service roads near the fire helped with firefighters being able to contain it.
The Santa Maria Fire Department responded to the fire as well as the Vandenberg Air Force Base and Santa Barbara County Fire Departments.
As of 2:45 p.m., the fire is 80 percent contained.
No injuries or structures have been threatened.
