Waitress denied tip because of 'gay lifestyle'
Family leaves no tip on $94 check
A waitress was stiffed on a nearly $100-dollar restaurant check because the family she was waiting on objected to her perceived "gay lifestyle."
Dayna Morales, a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, N.J., was waiting on a woman and her family, when the woman made a disparaging comment about Morales' short hair, according to the Huffington Post. Morales is a former marine.
The family left the restaurant and paid no tip on the $93.55 bill. The family instead wrote a note on the receipt: "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I don't agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life."
Morales posted the receipt with the message on Facebook with this (edited) message: "I am THOROUGHLY offended and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free. Sorry lady but I don't agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you're raising your kids."
