SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Oil analysts say militants have taken over at least one refinery in Iraq.

The result has impacted oil prices.

AAA auto club said the national average hit a six-year high Wednesday.

Other analysts said it will take longer to feel the impact of Iraq.

Meanwhile, some U.S. Senators have proposed a six cent per gallon gas tax to pay for overdue road repairs from coast to coast.

Reaction from drivers has been mixed.

One tow truck driver said higher prices of any kind hurt business.

Others don't believe the money earmarked for road repairs will actually be used for road repairs.

Supporters said the money to repair decaying roads has to come from somewhere so it might as well come from the people who use the roads the most.
