UCSB has gained another top honor. The university is now among the top 10 coolest in the nation when it comes to sustainability and an eco-friendly campus.

Sierra Club's official magazine looked at 162 colleges and universities and how they're making significant efforts to solve climate issues.

At UCSB, 47% of its Academic Departments on campus offer at least one course on highlighting ways to become "green." Also, over 200 faculty members are conducting eco-research.

This top spot is just one of UCSB's many honors. It got the 2nd spot in the world for research impacts last year.  In March, U.S. News and World Report ranked the school as 10th in the nation when it came to overall quality. Just recently Princeton Review had UCSB as the number 7th party school in the country.
