Car Rolls Over During North Bound Crash, Traffic Not Impacted

GOLETA, Calif. -

Two people had to be rescued from their car when it crashed and rolled over while heading north on Highway 101 near the Fairview exit in Goleta.

The accident involved only one car and traffic was not impacted. The vehicle hit a tree just off the side of the freeway and then came to rest up against a chain-link fence.

Santa Barbara County firefighters had to cut the fence to free the driver and his passenger. Both men were taken to Cottage Hospital with minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
