MONTECITO, Calif. - First responders are updating an interactive map that allows people to look at the homes that have been damaged or destroyed due to the mud flow in Montectio on January 9.
The map is a work in progress that will be updated daily.
To date, only 35 percent of the properties have been assessed.
At a news conference on Sunday afternoon at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara Montecito Fire Protection District Chief Chip Hickman said the community said first responders are committed to bringing the community back.
He said the beautiful landscape that led people to Montecito has been changed forever, but he believes the community has been tested and will grow stronger.
