Cyber Monday shopping
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

More than 100 million Americans will head to their computers to shop for the holidays on Monday.

The new tradition dubbed "Cyber Monday" is the Black Friday of the online market place.

The National Retail Federation says eight in ten retailers will offer special Cyber Monday deals.  Experts say the key to getting the best online bargain is to separate the good deals from the great deals.  Another tip is to compare the in-store deal to deals online.

"People are coming into the store, grabbing the product, taking a picture with their phone, and then going online and seeing if they can get it cheaper," said Santa Barbara shopper Patrick Basney.

Another tip is to check out online deal sites like savings.com and pricegrabber.com.  These online databases pull coupons and deals from multiple retailers and show you which online store has the best price.

Experts also suggest reading the fine print, find free shipping and read up on returns.

If you are looking for a good online deal closer to the holidays don't forget about annual Free Ship Day.  On Dec. 18, hundreds of retailers will participate and ship free with delivery guaranteed by Christmas Day.
