SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

The two-year search for The Arlington Theatre's missing lamp is over.

A Santa Barbara man spotted the lantern at a garage sale near La Patera Ranch.

He recognized it as the lamp stolen on Christmas Eve back in 2011. Without any questions he bought the one-of-a kind lamp back for $5 and returned it back to The Arlington Theatre.

"He walks his dog through this area a lot and had noticed our lamps and saw what he thought was our missing lamp. We were shocked to find out it was purchased for $5," said Karen Killingsworth, The Arlington Theatre manager.

The lamp was slightly damaged and is currently being refurbished at Steve Handelman Studios.
