On Thursday, La Colina Junior High held its annual "Walk Through The Middle Ages" festival. This is La Colina's 17th year holding the event.
The festival features the work of 270 seventh graders. In preparation for the event, the students wrote a topic related research project.
Participants then put on costumes and set up an interactive display.
La Colina teacher Kurt Bergthold said, “We are trying to bring history to life, so we are making a living history exhibit to where students aren't just reading about it…Our real audience is elementary schools. We invite students from our feeder schools who will eventually come here to this school."
Besides elementary school students, the public was also invited to attend.
