ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. -

An Arroyo Grande High School student is recovering in the hospital from injuries suffered in a car rollover accident Tuesday.

According to Arroyo Grande Police officers, the 17-year-old driver is believed to have been speeding. Five Cities Fire were dispatched to a field around 12:30 p.m. between Lady Family Mortuary and Arroyo Grande Creek on the 700 block of Fair Oaks.

Witnesses said the car flipped several times and left a large debris field. Arroyo Grande police are conducting an investigation.
