PASO ROBLES, Calif. -

Police arrested one man in connection with a Paso Robles stabbing.

James Elliot was spotted by police early Saturday morning. He fled on foot, and after a short chase cops were able to catch him. He was arrested on the 2800 block of Spring street.

Police were searching for him since late Wednesday night after a 29-year-old victim claimed Elliot stabbed him in the torso. The victim was taken to Twin Cities Hospital and is in stable condition.

Witnesses said they saw Elliot get into an argument with the victim inside a home. That argument then escalated into a physical confrontation.

James Elliot was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
