PASO ROBLES, Calif. -

A man from Newberry Springs in San Bernardino County is facing charges for assault with a deadly weapon for attacking a man on an Amtrak Train with a fork Saturday.

Paso Robles Police got a call from train operators that a fight broke out on the train approaching the city.  Officers boarded the train and found two men who had been in a fight. They arrested 47-year-old Michael Tapp.

Officers say Tapp stabbed another man, a 57-year-old from Santa Cruz County, with a fork.  The man had only a minor injury to his face.

The man who had been stabbed, with the help of other passengers, was able to subdue the attacker until police arrived.
