LocalSanta Barbara High Football Sees New Changes For 2009 Season
When you talk about big changes for the 2009 Santa Barbara High football team, you can start right at the top, with the head coach. As a long time assistant on the Dons staff, Jaime Melgoza enters his first season as the team's field boss. Melgoza replaces Will Gonzales who resigned after last season.
There is also a new addition to the Santa Barbara team this season at the quarterback position. R.J. Rosborough transferred from Carpinteria High and will play his senior season with the Dons in 2009. Santa Barbara will have a huge task at hand replacing two outstanding receivers from the 2008 squad. Roberto Nelson and Bryson Loyde have left for college, leaving Melgoza and his coaching staff with the challenge of finding quality wide outs for Rosborough to find against opposing defenses. |
