UCSB Plays Final Games Of The Season

Goleta, CA-- The UCSB Baseball team played its final three regular season games over the weekend at home against top ranked UC Irvine.

Before Friday's series opener the Gauchos recognized Diabetes Awareness Day.

One guy that was honored before the game, Gauchos back-up catcher Doug Hansen, who is a type-one diabetic, figured prominently in a play late in the game--more on that in a moment.

Irvine won the game 11-to-7. Game two of the series was played Saturday at UCSB beginning at 1 p.m.
