Former New York Giants Star Brad Van Pelt Passes Away At Age 57
He played 11 years with the New York Giants as part of a 14 year NFL career. Tuesday night, Brad Van Pelt died of an apparent heart attack at his home in Michigan.
Van Pelt spent many years as a Santa Barbara resident. As an NFL linebacker, he was selected to five Pro Bowls. Brad Van Pelt was also a three sport star at Michigan State where, along with football, he lettered in baseball and basketball. Today, Michigan State recognizes Brad Van Pelt as its last true three-sport star athlete. The New York Giants voted Van Pelt their player of the decade for the 1970's. |
