When you look at his statistics from the 2008 season, it's not hard to understand why Oaks Christian High Quarterback Nick Montana was named the Santa Barbara Bank & Trust-Friday Football Focus player of the year on Wednesday.

The Lions junior signal caller threw for almost 2,400 yards with 33 touchdown passes and only 7 interceptions. Montana also completed nearly 57% of his passes.

Nick already has three football scholarship offers from Arizona, Stanford and LSU. Montana says he hopes to win a state title at Oaks Christian next season.
