UCSB Men's Basketball Team Suffers Big Loss

The UCSB men's basketball team will be without its leading rebounder, junior Jesse Byrd, for a minimum of four weeks. Byrd suffered a left knee injury in the Gauchos December 20th game at San Diego State.

A starter in all eleven games this season, Byrd leads the Gauchos in rebounding with an average of eight per game. UCSB plays its final non-conference game December 29th at the Thunderdome against Ball State.
