LocalNew Company Taking College Football Recruiting On-Line
It is one of the most efficient ways a college football program can evaluate high school talent all over the country. The company is called Athletishare. Based out of Sunnyvale, California, and established last September, Athletishare is a service that allows high school and junior college coaches and players to upload their game footage and highlight tapes so major college programs on down to division III teams can see players they may not have otherwise had the opportunity to evaluate.
Although the company is new, it has already made its way to the central coast, signing up some high school football programs in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. One program that is involved is the state's number one ranked team, the St. Bonaventure Seraphs. "When you have someone that wants to expose your kids to major college football programs all over the country, and they don't charge us a dime, that's a major advantage for us," said St. Bonaventure Head Coach John Mack.
