Foresters Win Streak Snapped
A four-game winning streak was snapped Sunday, as the Monterey Bay Sox handed the Santa Barbara Foresters a convincing 10-1 home loss.
The Bay Sox pounded out 12 hits and put the game away with a four-run fifth inning, highlighted by a bases loaded double by John Most. Santa Barbara did muster six hits, three of which came off the bat of Erik Castro, who also supplied the Foresters lone RBI. With the loss, Santa Barbara is back to the .500 mark with an overall record of 12-12, but 7-8 in California Collegiate League play. The Foresters hit the road for two games with MLB Urban Youth Academy, but will play host the annual 4th of July game at Pershing Park in Santa Barbara. Game time against the Maxim Yankees is 4:30. |
