LocalCarpinteria Loses To Windward In Division 3-AA Playoff Game
Academy Award Winning Actor Denzel Washington is normally seen at Staples Center watching his favorite NBA team, the Lakers. Tuesday night the Lakers were beating Atlanta at Staples Center, but the world famous actor was almost 100 miles north of that game, watching his own son play in Carpinteria.
Malcom Washington, a junior guard for Windward High, scored 14 points while his teammate Darius Morris led the way with 22, as Windward rolled to a 62-47 win over Carpinteria. The loss by Carp ends the great high school career of Jacob Ranger. The senior forward scored 12 points in his final prep game. Ranger is headed to U.C. Davis in the fall on a basketball scholarship. |
