Some roads to close during Amgen Tour in Santa Barbara

Tour will cycle past Santa Barbara on Wednesday, Thursday

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Some streets will be closed starting Wednesday as the Amgen Tour of California cycles through Santa Barbara.

Stage 4 of the race will finish in Santa Barbara on May 15 and Stage 5 will start on May 16.

The race moves at around 25-30 mph and it should pass any given point in about five minutes.

Highway 192, Hot Springs Road and Cabrillo Blvd. will be temporary closed on May 15 from 2 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

Highway 101 off-ramps at Cabrillo and Los Patos will be closed at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Cabrillo Blvd., Shoreline Rd., Meigs Rd., Cliff Dr., Las Positas Rd., and Modoc Rd. will be closed.

All roads will reopen to normal traffic as the race moves along.
