Prepping is on as Thursday's storm...

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Prepping is on as Thursday's storm approaches. Starting tomorrow morning you're going to want an umbrella. People are already getting prepared for the storm. 

The Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the recent burn areas of Southwest California beginning Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning.

Melinda Fournier was starting to get a little impatient.

"We've been waiting for six years for this," shopper Melinda Fournier said.

Fournier lives in Los Alamos. She says she's prepared for what this storm could do to her farm.

"We live prepared, we work in wildland conditions and oak tree mitigation so we're always on top of the weather," Fournier said. 

She makes sure their animals are sheltered.

"And our equipment covered and that's really our concern at this point, our roofs are batted down, metal roof on the house," Fournier said.
