LOMPOC, Calif. - No one was injured and no structures were damaged after a large pine tree fell over Thursday evening in Lompoc.
The tree fell in a residential area near the intersection of H Street and Hickory Avenue at around 5:10 p.m.
The tree is one of many on the tree-lined neighborhood.
The tree toppled over, uprooting and pulling up part of the lawn and lifting up a patch of sidewalk.
The particular tree is estimated to be about 90 years old, and could have been under additional stress due to the lack of rainfall.
City of Lompoc Public Works Department crews remained on scene cleaning up after the fallen tree.
Traffic was re-routed briefly during the incident.
