SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A public evening prayer service is being held Tuesday night for Natalia Morozova, the victim in Monday night's deadly shooting in Santa Maria.
The prayer service called a Panikhida, will be at the Orthodox Church of the Annunciation located at 877 Francine Lane in Santa Maria at 6 p.m.
Police believe Morozova was gunned down by her ex-husband just before 9 p.m. Monday. 48-year-old Konstantin Morozov is believed to have taken their son, 9-year-old Daniel Morozov.
An Amber Alert was put out early Tuesday morning and an updated Amber Alert was activated later the same day after the first vehicle Konstantin Morozov was believed to be traveling in was located in Santa Maria. The second vehicle police believed the suspect to be driving was located in a Santa Barbara neighborhood early Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities continue to search for both, Konstantin Morozov and 9-year-old Daniel. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked not to approach them as Morozov is believed to be armed and dangerous. Call 911 immediately.
