SANTA MARIA, Calif. -

A Santa Maria man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing late Friday night.

Santa Maria Police says the 42-year-old victim was found with a stab wound along the 1600 block of South McClelland Street at about 10:30pm.

SMPD says the unidentified victim was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital where he was treated and released.

Police say their investigation led them to the suspect, 37-year-old Troy James Savoy, who was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Santa Barbara County jail.
