Train Tracks Clear of Storm Debris

Carpinteria section swamped Saturday morning

Amtrak Reopens

CARPINTERIA, Calif. - A section of the Union Pacific railroad tracks has been checked and cleared after Saturday's aggressive storm, that swamped the rails in Carpinteria.

Amtrak trains are running without delays.

Heavy equipment was called out Sunday to clear the debris off the tracks along Santa Claus Lane.   That area has both a rock wall and a fence, but the waves plowed through those barriers and got to the tracks.
