CARPINTERIA, Calif. - 'Growing Pains' star and Carpinteria resident Alan Thicke is launching a new comedy/reality series centered around his family.
The new show will mainly focus on Alan, his wife Tanya and their son 16-year old Carter. The younger Thicke is entering his junior year at Laguna Blanca School.
One of the series' episodes was shot inside Santa Barbara's Palazzio restaurant, where Carter Thicke takes on his first job while learning the value of a dollar.
The Thicke family's eldest son Brennan and middle son Robin Thicke (whose current hit single Blurred Lines is number 1 on Billboard's Top 100) will also be making appearances.
The show's working title is "The Thicke of Things," with home base being the Thicke family ranch in Carpinteria.
The program is Canadian and will air in that country first, with plans to debut in the U.S. by next spring.
