SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Ventura County Search and Rescue Crews set up shop on the back patio of NewsChannel 3, owned by NPG.
The patio has a view of the ocean, Santa Barbara and Montecito.
Crew members took advantage of the unobstructed view and talked to rescuers in the field.
They chose not to comment on the search for survivors of the Montecito mudslides.
General Manager Mark Danielson said offering first responders a place to work was the least the station could do.
"We are just so happy that we can at least do something to help the search and rescue teams do what they need to do, and if we can do anything we are going to be there for them," said Danielson.
