SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A Santa Barbara woman will never forget her Europe trip and being near two separate violent attacks.

Rebecca Brand, a lifestyle TV show host and Santa Barbara local, has been busy updating her friends and family about how she's doing over the last few days.

Brand was in London two days ago when attackers killed 6 people and injured at least 50 others. She left London and headed to Paris. Brand was on a sight seeing bus when she noticed the commotion.

"Police were there and there was people running from the scene," said Rebecca Brand.

She remembers seeing people running towards the bus she was in including a young couple from Northern California.

"This couple jumped on the bus and were very out of breath and had been running," said Brand.

She took out her camera and asked the couple some questions about what they saw and heard.

"We heard two gunshots and we thought it was a terrorist or something. I saw the guy go down and he saw the smoke and then all of a sudden everyone started running," said Suzie Riches.

What they heard were Paris Police shooting and injuring a man who was seen attacking officers with a hammer outside of Notre-Dame Cathedral.

"I couldn't believe that I'd be actually driving right in on that bus to another attack in Europe. It was unbelievable," said Brand.

She will return home later this week.
