UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - About the only thing that UCSB freshman Robby Nesovic failed to do was sell programs at Saturday's home game against UC Irvine. Nesovic homered as part of a 3-for-3 day at the plate and he also worked six solid innings on the mound in a 5-3 victory over the Anteaters.
Nesovic allowed three runs on three hits as he improves to 2-2 on the year. His seventh inning solo homer provided the final scoring of the game.
It's the Gauchos first win over Irvine since 2010 after suffering three-game sweeps in 2011 and 2012. UCSB is 9-8 in the Big West Conference.
