SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office served multiple search warrants related to a disturbing video posted to an online chat room.
Sheriff's deputies served three warrants and seized evidence in connection to the video of a San Marcos High School student with a colonial-era musket explaining how to kill other students. Threatening and derogatory comments were also posted.
The video caused a large outrage at the high school and led to discipline of the students involved.
Sheriff's detectives say none of the students involved have access to functioning firearms or dangerous devices.
The facts will be submitted to the district attorney's office for further review to determine if criminal charges are warranted.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says they are continuing to interview everyone involved in the incident. The say there is no immediate threat to the public.
