MONTECITO, Calif. - The Thomas Fire and deadly mudslides in Montecito delayed Montecito Fire Protection District meetings.
For the first time since the disasters Montecito Fire Department's top officials had a chance to meet with the district in the new year. They met at Westmont College.
Fire officials gave the newly elected officers an update on the disasters. They also talked about plans to build a third station in the future.
Members of the public also had a chance to thank the district and the first responders for their efforts during the California's largest wildfire and the mudflow that followed.
