SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - A fishing vessel ran aground at El Capitan State Beach north of Santa Barbara early Saturday morning.
The crew of Kaylee J contacted the Coast Guard after their commercial fishing boat ran aground at around 5:30 a.m.
Coast Guard personnel from Santa Barbara responded and confirmed there was no oil pollution in the water. The Coast Guard, Fish and Wildlife and State Parks organized a plan to remove oil and hazadrous materials left inside the boat.
The cause of the incident is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
