SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A house fire in Santa Maria has left one family with more than $300,000 in damage.
The fire started just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday on the 2200 block of Mon Chere Lane.
Fire investigators say the fire started in the garage and spread to the inside of the home. No one was home at the time of the fire. Firefighters were able to gain control within 20 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation but officials say it does not appear to be suspicious.
