Fallen Power Line Sparks Fire

White smoke seen from T.V. Hill

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara City and Montecito fire crews responded to reports of a structure on fire Monday.

Just before 1 p.m. firefighters were sent to the 600 block of Circle Drive in Santa Barbara.

The initial investigation revealed a tree branch fell and broke a power line in the area. The downed power line sparked and the near-by garage caught on fire.

Southern California Edison said power temporarily went black for some residents in the area. SCE officials said they are working to restore power back to over 400 residents.
